How to get smooth skin

If I were ever to go on Survivor and meet Jeff Probst, my one novelty item would be lotion.  Why?  It’s my pet peeve to have dry flaky skin.  Lots of people go out and buy clothes to be fashionable, workout to stay fit, and eat selectively to stay healthy, but often times they neglect caring for their skin.

Let’s face it, what’s the point of doing all those things when you look terrible from the onset due to bad skin?

*shrudder*

Whenever my friends touch me, they always comment that I have baby smooth skin.  My boyfriend is probably the luckiest man in the world, to be dating someone with such soft skin (or so I tell him).  Now the question is, how and why?

1. Moisturizing multiple times a day
It may sound crazy,  but I can actually feelwhen my skin is dry.  I moisture everyday, not just once a day, but closer to 2-3 times a day (in the morning, after showering, and before going to bed).  I find it is important particularly after the shower to apply lotion because this is when the skin can absorb it best.  I live in Canada where the weather is pretty dry, so I prefer to apply also prior going to bed and again in the morning in order to stay moist all the time.

2. Moisturize everywhere
I moisturize almost everywhere, except my upper torso.  Yes, this means even the tops and bottoms of my feet.  Funny thing is, I can actually feel the difference between the areas that are moisturized every day versus those that are not.

3. Different creams for different parts of the body
It is obvious that your face would require a cream made of a different composition than your body for the best effect.  Body creams tend to be oilier, which on your face may cause pimples!
