I’ve always been drawn to Burt’s Bees’ product display shelf. It may be due to the man with the bushy beard on the packaging, their simple bee logo, but more than likely, because they stand out when placed together in their bright yellow packaging against the white florescent lights of your local drug store.
Eventually, this led me to the purchase of Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tube. Sadly, it was a bit of a let-down for me. Burt’s Bees uses natural ingredients in the production of its products, which includes of course beeswax. As you know, the consistency of beeswax is very thick. Given that the beeswax lip balm is made mainly with of course, beeswax, the product was still very solid out of the tube which made it very difficult to apply.
From what I was able to put on after multiple coats, I was disappointed that it did not feel moisturizing.
I admire its low costs and environmental friendliness and I really wished that I would like it. Unfortunately, this product is not for me.
